Data Types and Collections
Individual values are enough for a short calculation or message. A program that represents several events, people or results needs a way to organise those values together.
Most programs need to handle more than one value at a time — a list of students, a set of unique tags, or a record of scores. Python provides several built-in data types to organize such data efficiently.
In this chapter, you will explore the main collection types: lists, tuples, sets, and dictionaries.
You will learn how to store, access, and manage groups of values, as well as how to combine these structures to model more complex data.
By the end of this chapter, you will know how to choose the right data type for a task and apply it in practical examples and small projects.
